You shouldn't be getting attacked by anyone if you've completed the quest line. Ancient Vampires still show up from time to time but they're usually already embroiled in a battle with Vigilants of Stendarr and fairly easy to kill. Hope this helps.
WebJun 26, 2013 · To fix it -at least when it appears- you must kill the vampires in the Canyon before entering into Fort Dawnguard, usually there are two Vampire Scouts. Kill them, and then wait (T) for 24 hours. Save and go check if the Dawnguard Guards are hostile. If they're still hostile, go out from the Canyon, wait another 24 hours and enter.
